I’m no longer pregnant! Hallelujah!
It was no secret I was a grumpy pregnant lady and I’ll be the first to admit it, so you can imagine how glad I am to be past it. Of course, having a newborn and a toddler and recovering from a pregnancy and birth has its own set of difficulties but at least I’m free of the majority of that oversized football-stomach. Happily for the Beard, this means my grumpiness has gone as well. (Enter the hormones, but that’s a totally different blog post!).
Having said that, here are a few things I’m enjoying about not being pregnant (in no particular order):
- Tying my shoelaces
- Seeing my feet (and *cough cough* other body parts)
- Having human-sized breasts
- Lying on my stomach
- Leaving the house without worrying about where the closest toilet is
- Sleeping without waking up to go to the toilet every 20 minutes
- Saving on toilet paper
- Spending my life savings on things other than Gaviscon
- Going for walks without needing a nap and a snack
- Wearing pants
- Relinquishing my designated driver status
- Bumping into everything with my tummy
- Picking up my firstborn without worrying a baby will fall out my uterus
- Being able to eat
everythinganything - Not worrying what will happen when I sneeze
- Remembering why I walked into a room (ok jokes, that one’s going to stick with me for a while)
I’m sure there are loads more but mombrain has most certainly replaced preggybrain – plus sleep deprivation is in full swing over here. Oh the joys of being a mother :-)

Yes to everything! My kids are 22 months apart which I love now that they can play together, but being pregnant with a toddler was zero fun! Congratulations on your growing family!
Bumping into everything with my tummy – hilarious!!! Just thoroughly enjoyed your list. Yes, people love to talk about their pregnancy stories but this is also true. Enjoyed it.
Yes! This list is everything! Just about 3 more months and counting…I miss bending over but if I can get a happy healthy little babe to round out our crew, I’ll wait just a bit longer to feel normal again LOL!
